Renaissance is not only another definition of Rebirth, the eternal human desire of creating perfection, but an instant return to antiquity. Renaissance investigates and remodels traces of our Past to satisfy our present cravings for materialistic and aesthetic evolution.
The Hungarian Renaissance reached its true grandeur by the end of the 15th century during the reign of Mathias the First, when the unique local craftsmanship culture unfolded at last with the appearance of Italy-inspired but locally produced creations.

A reneszánsz nem csak nevében hordozta az újjászületést, – melynek lényege az ősidőktől bennünk élő vágy az egyre tökéletesebb megteremtésére – hanem a kezdetektől visszanyúlt az antikvitáshoz, a letűnt idők művészeti alkotásokban, tárgyakban fellelhető lenyomataihoz, és azt saját képére alakítva, immár egy tökéletesnek tartott anyagi, esztétikai matériát hozott létre. A magyar reneszánsz a XV század végére érte el igazi pompáját, és az itáliai hatásokkal átitatott, de már honi művészek alkotásai által is gyarapodó kultúra I. Mátyás uralkodása alatt teljesedett ki.

Dr. Nagy Zita a tulajdonosa és vezetője a magyar design közösségnek, az Upcycling Factorynak. Hisszük, hogy érdemes megérintetni a múlt egy darabkáját, leporolni és új formában életre kelteni. A design formába öntött érzelem, életérzés és hagyomány, tisztelgés a múlt előtt, vágyva a jövő felé, közben megélni a pillanatot. Érzelmet kelteni, a múltról merengeni, újra gyereknek lenni. Játszani! Tudni, hogy minden régi tárgy, amit a kezünkbe veszünk, egyszer új volt, formabontó vagy praktikus, egyszerű vagy bonyolult, esztétikus vagy giccses, de olyan alkotás, ami valamilyen oknál fogva ránk maradt. Érték, amiből új értéket lehet teremteni! Ez a mi hitvallásunk.
