CELLS is, somehow, the introspection towards the smallest, essencial and unique of living creatures,inspired as well for the natural world. Made with colourful markers, these are, in conclusion, indispensable elements for life that seems to float below the meticulous look of the microscope-observer.
CELLS es, en cierto modo,la introspección hacia lo más pequeño, esencial y único de cada criatura viva, siendo también su inspiración el mundo natural.Realizado con rotuladores de colores,son elementos imprescindibles para la vida que parecen flotar bajo la atenta mirada del microscopio-espectador.

About María Guija Medina

María Guija Medina was born in Seville, in the south of Spain, in 1983.She got a degree in Fine arts, in the option of engraving and graphic design. After that, she was expecting for answers concerning to the art and creativity concepts. Those reasons made her look for it along all Europe, spending some time in Sweden, United Kingdon and Belgium among other countries, and worked in different areas of design. She hoped her artwork had an useful essence and were "living" pieces, forgetting the silence that
somehow happens in pieces of museums. After all, all this research leaded to the textile design, that joins the most important key concepts; Art (colour and drawing),interaction/ experiment and variety of materials and textures. Nowadays, María develops her own brand_Kaotiña, that tries to create "useful" and beautiful pieces of art for
everyone.
María Guija nació en Sevilla,en el sur de España, en 1983. Estudió Bellas Artes en la misma ciudad, especializándose en grabado y diseño gráfico y, al finalizar, anhelaba respuestas sobre el mundo del arte y la creatividad.Éso la llevo a recorrer Europa, pasando algún tiempo en Suecia, Uk Y Bélgica, entre otros países,y trabajó en diversos

ámbitos del diseño; Necesitaba que sus trabajos creativos adquiriesen una esencia útil y fuesen obras "con vida", dejando atrás el silencio que a veces transmiten las obras de museos. Toda esta búsqueda concluye al descubrir el diseño textil, que aúnaba los tres factores clave que le interesaba profundizar: Arte, interacción, diversidad de
materiales (color, textura, dibujo). Actualmente desarrolla su propia marca_Kaotiña, bajo la cual crea bellas y útiles productos artísticos para todos.
