MONO by Samira Akhavan
MONO is exploring the construction of traditional carpetpatterns. It has a centerpiece, that is framed by different rows of lines. MONO is a modern interpretation of traditional carpet patterns. It is hand-drawn and afterwards digitalized.
MONO beschäftigt sich mit dem Aufbau traditioneller Teppichmuster. Es hat ein zentrales Ornament, das von weiteren Bordüren aus Linien gerahmt wird. MONO ist eine moderne Interpretation traditioneller Teppichmuster. Das Muster ist handgezeichnet und anschließend digitalisiert.
About Samira Akhavan
Samira Akhavan studies product design at the University of Applied Sciences in Potsdam. Her works deal with the construction, aesthetics and functions of surfaces. When it comes to a theoretical discourse, she is interested in the relationships of designer, producer and consumer regarding the (experimental) production of objects.
Samira Akhavan studiert Produktdesign an der Fachhochschule Potsdam. In ihren Arbeiten beschäftigt sie sich zur Zeit vornehmlich mit Aufbau, Ästhetik und Funktionen von (Ober-)Flächen. Inhaltlich setzt sie sich als Gestalterin mit den Rollenverhältnissen von Gestalter, Produzent und Konsument vor allem in Bezug auf (experimentelle) Herstellungsprozesse von Objekten auseinander.
